Deepwood Farm (about)

Deepwood Farm has been in operation since 1990. We offer a variety of services to the visitors in our area who are looking for a pleasant 1 hour trail ride in the beauty of the mountains. Our horses are sturdy and quiet, a pleasure to ride. We offer for singles and couples that have solid riding experience or have owned their own horse, 1 or 2 hour rides which includes trot and canter in the foothills of the White Mountains, over streams and through a working apple orchard. What a delightful way to spend an afternoon. Cost is $35.00 per person per hour.

Summer camps are held in the months of June and July. A three day camp for children ages 6 through 10 and a five day camp for children age 11 to 16. These are both overnight camps and are limited to 6 campers per session. We keep the groups small so that each child receives quality time. Each child is given the responsibility of caring for their own horse and are trained how to do so. They will receive riding lessons in the morning and a trail ride in the afternoon.

These are very full days. For the 5 day campers, Wednesday nights means a trail ride into the mountains with a cook-out and a camp-out overnight. This is a very enjoyable and exciting and fun experience for all. For more information please click here.

Regular lesson programs for all ages are available. Our students hold their own in the show ring. These students show locally at Ellis River Riders and bring home trophy after trophy in their divisions. Leadline, walk trot, junior division, senior division, and open classes. The best thing about riding with us is we take show ring etiquette and make it practical on the trail. Good riding works everywhere.
